| As a wing of the main-floor great room, the kitchen has incredible views in every direction.
It's atmosphere is simply fun, and this is one useful kitchen! Appliances are located for efficiency. The work areas include 21' of countertop and a 3-1/2'X 6' island with cabinet and stool space—a work/eat/hobby area. Countertops are of hand-made Mexican tiles. Because of its color and texture the 12" tile floorcovering is extremely forgiving, besides being beautiful. Click image below to see more of the island area and open hutch.

| The lighting is unique, decorative and strategically placed. It includes recessed cans in the ceiling, under-cabinet fluorescents at task areas and two decorative drop lights over the island. The island lights are unusual—punched tin from Mexico. | |
