| ABOUT TWIN RIVER RANCH at White Bird, Idaho |
![]()   |
THE RANCH. Twin River Ranch includes about 18,000 acres of land between the Salmon and Snake Rivers near White Bird, Idaho. Originally
part of a large working cattle ranch, it now comprises about 265 parcels ranging in size from 20 to
550 acres and belonging to some 215 owners. About 30 live here now or have started to develop their land. As plans dictate,
they continue to drift in to build homes or vacation cabins. Many, probably most,
will not actually live here. They visit their property a couple of times a year to hunt, fish, camp or just experience the solitude. The environment and atmosphere here take you back to a simpler time, when people were closer to the Earth and didn't have to worry about city hassle or commutes that ate up family time and left them frazzled. Few leave here after a visit without feeling refreshed.

lAND FOR SALE. A few of these parcels are for sale by their owners as bare land. We would like to show them to you, which is one
purpose of this Web site. The properties vary in character, some timbered, some canyon rangeland, all with breathtaking views, loaded with
habitat and, therefore, teeming with wildlife. They range in elevation from 1,600 to 5,000 feet.
The range of prices reflect differences in development, distance from the highway, etc.
For those who fall in love with Salmon River country, as we did, one of these parcels
will suit every taste. People buy land here to retire on, for vacation retreats, hunting and fishing
getaways, and for investment purposes. Some even telecommute from here. While much land in the Rocky
Mountain states has been picked over and prices forced up by demand, Salmon River country has been
"discovered" only recently. There are still very good buys here. |
