KTVB Kempthorne says creating a bypass through Indian Valley will ease traffic on Idaho 55 and preserve its beauty as a scenic route. During his State of the State Address to lawmakers Monday, Kempthorne revealed his vision of a four-lane highway stretching from the Canadian border to the Treasure Valley. He called the massive project "Connecting Idaho." Kempthorne said it is a great opportunity for everyone to invest in our transportation and make driving in Idaho safer. His goal is to bring the north and south together with a multi-lane highway. Kempthorne is proposing funding $1.6 billion worth of road construction projects with Garvee bonds. |
